What I liked
Casting was excellent! I understood what was happening. I’ve read this play before and wasn’t wowed but it was very much brought to life without any change of stage just actor movement. Really great theatre when you can differentiate and create imaginary spaces. It just felt so clear. And it’s so powerful and timely with world events bringing our memories back to those that fell 20 yrs ago half way across the world- what did they achieve? It’s deeply sad to ponder, but this play makes us consider the gravity of it all and the mark of these events on everyone’s lives.
What I didn't like
Nothing really. It was an excellent show. As a matter of personal taste I very much wish I could’ve heard what was being said by the main officer during her breakdown- but she’s having a break down so are you supposed to understand her? That’s the rub- her other monologues were just so intriguing I was hanging on to every word I could!!! So good
My overall impression
A very poignant play about human relationships and how we deal with the chaos of losing someone, even if we don’t know them.
