What I liked

Chengqi becomes the young boy with ease. It was very believable that he was in his childhood again. The stage design is simplistic and beautiful, and the candles were a delightful touch. The sound design throughout the performance really added to the atmosphere and the storyline.

What I didn't like

The performance began ten minutes late and ended up being an hour

My overall impression

I learned more about a time in Chinese history that I was previously unaware of and that alone proves that it was an effective show. Chengqi has no problem being sensitive to emotion and bringing out a youthful curiousity to his young boy character.
