What I liked
The speed.
This isn’t my genre, I know very little about theater and even less about musical theater so I got zip with the references. But it didn’t matter because Demetris Hartman and Amir Levi hit the gas and don’t stop until the thing is done. They tear through the script and shoot out the lights filling a huge stage with just themselves and couple of chairs. Nothing goes on too long and just when you think you’ve got it all in front of you Amir Levi pops some insane physical thing and knocks you back down. Fantastic.
The audience I was with knew all the references and they loved it. So, don’t be scared off by that part.
What I didn't like
What, you’re asking me? What do I know? I don’t know. “Hamilton.” Is that right?
“Les Mis.” I don’t know. The one with the helicopter.
My overall impression
Two man verbal street ball that’s a delight to witness. A big fun gallop.
