What I liked

It was clear everyone was having a blast & you know what you’re going in for, so enjoy the beautiful bombastic campiness & insider references. I love the irony of what you would suppose to be an advanced society, attempting their version, with earnestness, to “recreate” earth-theater. It’s the silent “play within the play.” The sweet relief of additional species/characters gives the necessary break from the relentless warring Klingon speeches. The fight scene between the two Klingon women was definitely a highlight of the action.

What I didn't like

The women were especially strong in finding those moments to play the Marlowe straight, but no less fierce, which gave their performances more dimension. I loved the commitment from the male leads, & it is a play about war, but I think there could have been some more levels explored. There was a lot of spit flying.

My overall impression

A fun fan experience with clever design & lots to enjoy.
