All of the performers were outstanding, though I particularly loved Irina’s depiction of the Little Prince, which reminded me quite a bit of BMO from Adventure Time; both incredibly wise and naive in the most straightforward way, Irina’s performance brought out both the humor and disturbing mediocrity of adulthood, while also suggesting that there are things to treasure if we allow ourselves to believe it so.
What I didn't like
I wonder if the transition sequences between the planets could have a little more variation, or if the graphics representing the planets themselves could have more thematic alignment with the strange adults that inhabit them; overall, though, the minimalist aesthetic was so consistent throughout that it made sense within the context of the whole play.
My overall impression
Seriously funny, understated and intense, childish and grown-up, a lovely and contemplative adaptation.
