Who knew such a tragic event could be translated into such joy!! This is a wonderful show and the cast are terrific. Poignant, funny and well worth seeing.

Let me start by saying I am generally not a fan of the genre… BUT
“Let’s Write a Musical” is two very different heartfelt love stories inexplicably intertwined seamlessly which weaves a broad panoramic tapestry of romantic love masterfully.
Being both an artful tribute to the feel good musicals of our past and the skillful marriage of the reality of real life this production evokes genuine emotions without schmaltz or grandiosity.

Based on real-life events, the plot of this show focuses on the aftermath of writer/composer Lawrie Chiaro Smylie's husband Ben who gets diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer, in an attempt to remain in good spirits they decide to write a musical together, and this show is the culmination of their work together.
