What I liked

The performances were great. The two actresses showed real craft and had a great back and forth amongst each other. This chemistry and momentum carried the audience from one moment into the next as each character had their moments of real vulnerability and intensity. The script was full of life and thought provoking without being pretentious which is no easy feat when writing something so cerebral. Writer and producer Kelley Pierre did an awesome job.

What I didn't like

I loved it through and through and think the creators did a great job constructing the piece.

My overall impression

This play was a wonderful physical realization of the abstracts of the human mind. I love the build up, where at first you’re wondering who these two people are to each other until it culminates and without spoiling too much, I will just say something along the lines of “birds of a feather.” This play touches on the idea that we all have different aspects of self within us, sometimes it’s just about which of those selves you listen to. If your looking for a thought provoking and emotionally engaging show I highly recommend The Same Room.
