What I liked

I really enjoyed the vulnerable moments. The moments that resonated the deepest with me were when the jokes ceased for the moment and we got to see behind the performer. We saw a man just living with realized truths of his life and it was hauntingly beautiful.

What I didn't like

I preferred the more tender and heartfelt moments and at times found them undercut with a joke a bit too soon. I would have liked to stay with the impactful truth of what we just heard even though it was slightly more depressing than what we were hearing throughout the majority of the show.

My overall impression

At times uproariously funny and at other times heartbreaking, this unique story about a specific man’s journey resonates with deep humanity and truthfulness. I found myself laughing, crying and walking away from the theatre with a full heart as I pondered over what I had experienced. The performer opens himself up and allows you to truly be in his shoes through some of his joys and struggles. Truly, a wonderful show.
