What I liked

There’s a push and pull in the narrative, where she uses her natural charm and playfulness to draw you in, making the darker elements not shocking as much as something more relatable in the lasting effects of the abuses and how we internalize them.

What I didn't like

It’s hard for me to critique one person shows, I don’t know that many of them. I get the jumping around timewise in the structure but it was difficult to track early on. Don’t know if that’s me or the show.

My overall impression

It’s a really engaging balance of heavy and light and broad and personal that’s incredibly well balanced. Where the story could be sensational or scathing, it instead becomes introspective. It’s more than just the tale of evangelical cults, it’s instead more about how we carry the weight of our damage and how it effects us long after the damage is done.
