What I liked

I loved the sheer originality of the show. In full disclosure, I was familiar with the movie (which I enjoyed) and was I invited as a guest from a friend who bought us tickets. What was amazing was thought is that the musical felt like something very different, albeit a little less scary and way less bloody (they used silk for blood), but it had some new scenes that brought context to the spirit possessing the cat (for those who know the movie it was Rosemary Carrie). I think because of some added scene and all the new songs it felt like something new. The killer cat ensemble throughout kept me always watching for what was going to happen next. Though I miss Angel (the cat in the movie) the woman who played Angel was amazing, too! She really tugged at the heart strings and made me laugh out-loud with her kitty antics, too, more than a few times.

What I didn't like

Overall, I thought it was puuurfect. Maybe, the sound could have been a little louder because I LOVED the music!

My overall impression

An impressive performance with memorable songs, lyrics, and performances and a crazy cat ensemble that kept me watching, listening, purring the whole time. The energy of the experience is what I found resonated most throughout. I loved the songs, too! They stuck with me long after leaving the theater. The mysterious plot was original, too. I couldn’t predict what was going to happen, which I like very much. I hope I’ll be able to find the songs somewhere???!!!
