What I liked
Her way of telling the story through her drag person Tanva is absolutely hilarious, contrasted by the letters that Tanya sits at a table and writes to Tanva in a more touching way. The show is multi-dimensional, hilarious and heart touching. Also I really like the Tanya reboot moments! Hilarious
What I didn't like
I loved the show and can’t recommend it more, but if I had to choose something. I would say I want more of Tanya, peeling her head from behind the dressing curtain. It’ll make sense when you see the show, but those moments really grounded us back into who this story is about. Especially considering how masterful Tanya is switching between her characters!
My overall impression
The show is wildly entertaining and a fantastic piece of solo Theatre! Tanya’s skill is something to be desired and does not break throughout the 90 minute show, very impressive! From childhood to motherhood Tanya, shows us how colorism is not just a US issue drawing relevant parallels to our own society through comedic and soul reaching performance
