What I liked
Everything! The actors were incredible, and the concept was ambitious and interesting. Walking to multiple locations in Hollywood was a really cool way to experience theatre, and I liked that even on my third time seeing it, I still didn’t really know what to expect.
What I didn't like
There were occasional technical difficulties, but that’s to be expected during test runs.
My overall impression
Unreal City is an ambitious show that involves audience interaction, multiple locations, and a lot of walking. (How often do you get to see theatre while you exercise?!) I’ve never experienced immersive theatre and was afraid it wouldn’t be my thing, but I enjoyed Unreal City so much that I attended three test audience runs and will be going back to see it again. Unreal City is like nothing you’ve ever seen, and you’ll want to see it multiple times so you can experience all the different scenarios the amazing cast has in store for you. I can’t even begin to imagine how this massive undertaking came together, but kudos to everyone involved for making it happen. : )
