What I liked
Wonderful comedic actors, an inherently fun premise, some sharp commentary and of course… “saaaaaaaaand.”
The actors fully committed to the sheer ludicrousness of their situation and it was a joy to watch.
Normally, when a play/film/what have you is based around characters being really high, I tend to find it annoying after a while. Often, it turns into a repetition of the same jokes, and, even worse, the same stock characters. That wasn’t the case here. Just because the characters were blitzed out of their minds didn’t mean they weren’t dynamic or completely unreasonable – the humor often came from the skewed sense of logic these characters possessed, but there was still LOGIC to their actions.
What I didn't like
The actors were all fantastic, but sometimes their enunciation was poor/they spoke too quietly and I couldn’t hear well from the third row. This isn’t much of a complaint. I’m really scraping the bottom of the barrel here for something to critique. I really enjoyed this.
My overall impression
This show was a lot of fun. The commentary was clever without being overwhelming and the cast were all stellar comedic actors.
