HOLLYWOOD- BABA, JEE (FATHER, YES), a warm, powerful new drama written by Ayesha Siddiqui, will premiere at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre or the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2018.
Set in New York City in 2012, Baba, Jee (Father, Yes) takes place during the devastating days of Hurricane Sandy. Maria, the daughter of a Pakistani father and an American mother, lives in a tiny apartment with her boyfriend Dave. On the eve of Hurricane Sandy, her father (Baba) comes to visit from Pakistan for the first time in years. Trapped inside while the storm rages on, Maria, Dave, and Baba must all confront their differing views on culture, love, and belonging. In the end, they find that what they all want is perhaps not so different after all.
