What I liked
I really liked the characters, especially the bond between daughter and father. The actor playing the dad struck all the right notes without ever making his shortcomings so defining that he was unlikable. Ditto the boyfriend whose singleminded attention to his own studies is keeping him from a far more important lesson. And I loved how Maria was subtly divided by her very modern and American sensibilities and her familial and cultural devotions. As the child of an immigrant myself, I definitely connected with her there.

I can’t really think of anything. Go see this show!
My overall impression
What a great show! I thoroughly enjoyed being cooped up with these characters during a hurricane. Catch this show!
