While I would love to have given this play a higher rating overall, the calibre of the performance of the lead actor made it impossible to do so. He is wooden. If emotionless and bland is how he was directed to play the role, then he gets top marks but if that is the case I have to wonder what the director was thinking.
Shame really because, with someone who could act in the lead role, this could have been an enjoyable play. The supporting cast are good and grow stronger as the play progresses but they are badly let down by Hildreth....

The play is worth seeing, though it is very uneven. The tone shifts from comedy to roaring anger in a second, and back again.....but maybe that's the point. The actors are all professional, but the brother and father shine the brightest. Play needs some serious editing though....
