I loved everything about THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RAZOR RIBBON -- the writing, performance, original music, and deeply moving story. Laugh-out-loud funny, heartbreaking, and inspirational, the performance grabs you from the start and and holds you til the very end. Based on her true-life events, Stacy Dymalski shares the unexpected possibilities that come with confronting and even embracing your most overwhelming personal crisis. Highly recommend this show!...

All I can say is WOW!!!!! Stacy’s performance was flawless and adding her son Derrick playing the music in the background was an additional treat!!! The way she tells her story about the most painful time in her life and at the same time telling a story of a man in prison who is also going through the most painful time in his life and how together without realizing as they work together to create his book, they are healing their pain. Stacy is so great in this play, you will laugh, cry, and at the same time fell inspired by her story and the way she tells it. I can tell how everyone involved from the set designer, to the lady greeting us at the door, to the directing/producing of this show that they worked hard to pull off this fantastic pl...

After her divorce, Stacy is left broken and alone and quickly realizes that nobody likes to talk to her when they realized she just went through a divorce. She notices the awkward ways that “friends” attempt to get away from her, as if afraid to catch a virus. She finds herself dealing with the breakup all along with nobody to console her so she becomes angry and snaps at baristas and strangers since she doesn’t find a way to release her frustrations.
Then she’s handed a manuscript about a man who is imprisoned due to helping immigrants cross over illegally to the U.S and suddenly realizes that her problems dwarf in comparison to what he’s going through in prison, serving a ten year sentence. As an editor, Stacy sees through grammatical er...

A poignant one woman autobiographical show show about a woman whose life is falling apart through a bitter divorce, who finds herself and salvation through helping a man in prison for human trafficking tell his story. A moving play about the power of stories, and how in sharing them, we can find our common humanity. ...

The Other Side of the Razor Ribbon is such a great story, authentic and honest, as is Stacy's performance. The way she combines the two stories is riveting and keeps your attention from start to finish. The original score by her son, Derrick, is a lovely touch. I really appreciated Stacy's vulnerability and emotionality, which of course, with true, personal stories is the key!...

Stacy's brave vulnerability, honesty, and total likability make this solo show fully engaging, emotional, raw, and uplifting. The music was a beautiful backdrop as well, and I loved Stacy's sense of humor in the face of our darkest moments - it's so important in life!...
