My overall impression

This show was another whim viewing. However, I’m very happy I did, if I understood it. I’m hoping the idea was to make it horrible.
The audience is encouraged to drink with the cast- to put them on the same level maybe. Otherwise I do not understand why the sexy role would deliver every line like she was a slightly deaf nyphomaniacal robot. I was near tears at one point envisioning the girl from “Small Wonder” growing into a sluty barfly.
For the most part the rest of the actors are a bit better in there slightly askewed stereotypes. Some, like the sheriff, didn’t need to act. Their physical appearance was enough. The white knight is, naturally, a bouncer who is like a southern Mickey Rourke who for some reason is picked on for most of the show to little or no recourse. As every actor enters they say he “looks like shit”.
The most forgettable role is an Indian conartist who screams his role like a class exercise adding constant “oh yeah”s and "huh"s. He seems to be the comic relief and anticedent action, but I really could do without him- to say the least. Especially with the other comedic role, one of the names I remember, Dolly; my favorite part of the show.
The plot is the above mentioned sit in a bar waiting for a, well built up, killer. There are sweet moments, hysterical moments, and moments that add nothing (again mainly involving the conman).
This killer eventually does arrive; Victor, the other name I remember. Victor arrives at a moment in the show when you have forgotten all about him and what does the audience get? The prowrestling Johnny Cash. This actor is equal parts Orson Welles and WWF’s The Undertaker. He was mesmerizing. The actor would be my vote for best I’ve seen at Fringe, but I lost my progam during the afternoon’s events.
I rarely write like this, perhaps the sun mixed with the Fringe tent, but I thought about this show long after it’s ending. If my understanding is correct, being a fan of odd material. It is very worth seeing.
