A gorgeous, lovely piece of work not to be missed. Blamed: An Established Fiction is a delightfully feminine, gentle work of ensemble storytelling that does not shy away from the pain inflicted on and by women over the course of history and mythology but also exudes the joy of being propped up by and celebrating with your sisters from all walks of life. Through dance, narration. shadow puppets, and very clever staging we are taken through stories with a common theme: women getting the shaft time and time again. One of the notes of beautiful direction I most loved was that after each story the actor who had portrayed the lead character (who inevitably had a horrible end) was embraced and buoyed by one of her fellow actors.

I tried so hard to see imaginative, powerful Blamed twice or more! This show is packed with stunning storytelling and talent. The all-woman ensemble cast is simply inspired in their many roles. One leaves wishing the show would go on and on! Congratulations all around!...

"Sorrow is a means to an end" is possibly one of the most breathtakingly beautiful moments I have ever witnessed on stage. But this comment could apply much of this show. Poignant and celebratory by turns, this is a show about exposure and reclamation. These women explore painful stories, turning over the rocks of common understanding to reveal the steady drumbeat of ugliness that flows through history and literature. Although it's hard they carry each other forward and revel in each exposure in the hope that *that* one will not cause future harm. ...
