What I liked
There was an element that took a while for me- I wondered if I would figure out a certain thing that was happening and then I caught it and PHEW I LOVE that – I love that it wasn’t handed to me- I had to pay attention. I love that this show is for people who are willing to be present in it an listen and pay attention.
The entire cast was a breath of fresh air.
The set and tech and costumes were all lovely and gen cat was purr-fect.

My overall impression
This is a delicious piece of theatre and would be even better when consumed for a second time- cannot wait to return for its inevitable extension. A smart and poignant work of art… I’m happy this show received its due praise around this festival- I hope it’s at least among the official nominees for top of the fringe if not the winner- one thing I heard in its buzz, sometimes in the form of criticism and sometimes in the form of awe, was that people didn’t fully understand it, but that’s one of the most important elements (in my opinion) and this show teaches something both on a practical and larger level about whether we fully understand anything.
This piece is beautiful in a similar way to how Shakespeare is beautiful- you get lost in the language and you don’t go back and scoff when you don’t completely grasp the entirety of something. If you want to zone out watch tv- I am so thankful for an hour where I get to think and feel and live in something beautiful. If you get a chance go see this and anything else that Katelyn writes.
