Gorgeous, simple yet unified set design, tremendous acting, lyrical, beautiful writing, overall, a flawless production.
What I didn't like
What? No. I loved it all.
My overall impression
This play was an incredibly beautiful, generous, lyrical wonder, a poetic exploration of an intricate concept grounded in a very real family dynamic created by the three actors (and cat puppeteer!) Schiller’s play transports us to another plane of existence with a sort of magical realism, shifting in time and space, yet stays grounded in the heart. Her writing is beautiful and raw, and the emotions hit hard through the show, yet it glows with a surging optimism regarding the beauty of the human spirit, love and life, even where there is hurt and sorrow. I loved how the actors welcomed the audience into their world, immersing us in their experience. They were a spectacular ensemble, working together fluidly to create this otherworldly sapphire of a show. Find a spot in your schedule and go, go, go.
