My overall impression

I had never seen or read this play before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a very powerful story and the message is sadly still somehow relevant today. I think this play is so moving because when you walk out, you can’t really say that any of the characters are good or evil. The world and culture surrounding the characters is really the most important character in the play. It’s interesting to see how the soldiers are all effected by their circumstances and how that informs their behavior and how their behavior affects the people around them. I know I’m being kind of vague, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it. It definitely has some very heartfelt moments (be prepared to cry.) The cast was excellent as was the staging. I really enjoyed the production. Go see it!
