What I liked

The writing and acting was some of the best I’ve encountered this festival. Especially for such a weighty topic.

My favorite scenes were the theological debates. It was really neat hearing the arguments put forth and being able to identify their scriptural foundations.

Hosius’ stylish circlet!

What I didn't like

I didn’t really understand the need for the kid at the beginning. I get why you want a preface for everything, but not why it has to be a smiling kid, especially given the seriousness of the actors and events to come.

The assault seemed to come out of nowhere and didn’t seem to impact the assaulter in any way.

The seating at the theater had some issues with people in the second row not being able to see over the people in the first row. They were both on the floor (whereas all other rows were raked), but the first row’s chairs were higher.

My overall impression

Great acting of strong-willed, well-written characters will pull you into this religious drama even if you aren’t familiar with all the concepts and terminology.
