Set in the mid 21st century, Myginga uses silhouette 3d animation and video onstage along with the actors to further illustrate the text while keeping with the original stage direction and preserving the dark humor and romantic spirit of the classic play. In developing the analogous works, the actors hope to use the process to engage Danny and Roberta truthfully and personally. In a time where many are feeling disconnection and a general sense of anxiety, the story of Roberta and Danny is a good one; I guess as is any story that speaks of love, especially from a place of darkness.
