What I liked

There was some clever staging elements. The singing was strong throughout. Some of the musical numbers were enjoyable despite not fitting the piece overall.

What I didn't like

I’m afraid this show doesn’t know what it is. The core story arc is clear, but what’s not clear is how this show advances that story.

The script need to be critically re-examined and perhaps torn apart and rebuilt anew. The “what” and the “who” of this piece are clear but not the “why”. Why does this show need to exist and why this form.

Is this piece meant to be a comedy or farce? Is it meant to be taken seriously?

Why was this a musical? Stylistically the songs don’t seem to fit with the tone of the overall piece (neither does the title, but that is minor quibble). They don’t adhere to the cardinal rule of musicals i.e. characters only sing when mere words cannot convey what they are trying to express, or at the very least meaningfully develop the characters in engaging exposition.

The acting performances varied widely, while the singing was largely pretty good.

What is this piece trying to say about loss, sex addiction, alcoholism, relationships, death, cancer, LGBT+

Ultimately I cannot recommend this show under any circumstances.
