What I liked

The script was very currently topical and engaging. I was enthralled for over two and a half hours for this interesting story. The video visuals were also very well done and added to the show.

What I didn't like

Although the male leads fit their roles, they lacked musical singing voices and should be recast for a better future production. Also, having some performers not miked meant that they could not be heard in contrast to the sometimes over-amplified miked singers.

My overall impression

Probably the best new original full-length musical this year at the Fringe. The book is solid, the songs are catchy, the choreography is cute, and the dancing is energetic. This show has a solid foundation and will be even better with some technical and recasting polish. The female leads are stand-out singers (Bonnie Kolber and Sarah Spiegel) while the male leads are more goofy and sometimes charming non-singers. The back-up performers are energetic and fun to watch. Recommended for Encore after more finesse.
