What I liked
The relationships between the characters. I could see how much they loved each other. I wanted them to succeed. I was drawn in from the moment Tom walked on stage.
The music was synced flawlessly, and the singing styles fit each individual character.
The sets and scene changes were creative, and the dancers had so much character!
What I didn't like
The ONLY thing I noticed was the vocal style of the character Sue seemed a bit forced. HOWEVER, It was a mere blip in the overall power of the production.
My overall impression
This was an AMAZING musical! The songs supported the story line, and gave it life. I really cared about the characters; their struggles and triumphs. I’m looking forward to seeing the extended performance in Northern California.
