What I liked

Her willingness to bare all emotionally. I liked that she kept everything around her simple: black clothing, one chair, the use of physically turning to convey a change of character. She kept the attention and interest in the dialogue and on her face, and kept the pace going the entire way through

What I didn't like

Not so much a criticism of what didn’t work, but would be nice to get a better idea of what mom is like today….but that could just be my own curiosity!

My overall impression

This was a personal Tour de Force for Dufflyn Lammers. With brutal honesty and expression, she courageously explores her complicated relationship with her mother. Seamlessly flowing between speaking as both her mother and herself, she reveals how having an emotionally absent mom who parented through a filter of addiction and a need for attention shaped the mirror in which she saw herself and the path she traveled to grow into the person she is today. Bravo!
