Dufflyn is a great writer, an expert at crafting a story! I love how she incorporates her background in spoken word and poetry so seamlessly into a more traditional form of storytelling. And her portrayal of her larger than life Mama is handled so deftly...a spot-on performance! With the humor came so much subtle insight and heartbreaking poignancy....

An emotionally raw performance. An honest exploration of mother daughter dynamics and the way our parents affect our whole lives. Beautifully poetic and lyrical Dufflyn intricately expresses the depth of how her mothers life impacted her own. ...

Very human, open, and real — with all of the details you might never think of sharing with others. Dufflyn draws you into her complex relationship with her mother while relating moments-in-time that are moving, sometimes painful, and uncomfortably real. Great storytelling. ...

Ms. Lammers gives a tremendous performance; it was the writing that was scattered for me. The takeaway from the story as a whole did not resonate. The play deserves additional performances, but with revisions. One possibility is to include other anthropologic parts with sound effects, music and no dialogue, as if reliving parts of the story....

I was totally enthralled in Dufflyn's insightful and passionate performance. The material demonstrated skillful writing and editing. The emotional range experienced was impressive. The contrast of severe minimalist stage props with the abundance of robust ideas and feelings provided intellectual and psychological satisfaction. Highest possible recommendation! I am recruiting friends to attend remaining performance....

This was a personal Tour de Force for Dufflyn Lammers. With brutal honesty and expression, she courageously explores her complicated relationship with her mother. Seamlessly flowing between speaking as both her mother and herself, she reveals how having an emotionally absent mom who parented through a filter of addiction and a need for attention shaped the mirror in which she saw herself and the path she traveled to grow into the person she is today. Bravo!...
