This is a truly wonderful show. The show manages to provides great insights into the character of both Tony Danza and Tupac Shakur, and does so in a funny, entertaining way that also has something to say about the ups and downs of fame.... full review

Well executed piece of theatre, the writing is the star here and Mr. Benaquist but a vehicle for his own mastery of the written word.... full review

Rich rapper Tupac Shakur (b. Lesane Crooks) lived a life of violence and died in a hail of bullets on the Las Vegas Strip two decades ago, just one year after he'd corresponded with middlebrow icon Tony Danza---while he was in prison for felonious rape! !!! Unlike DEAR LIAR (which was real) and LOVE LETTERS (which was not) this is a reasonably Reimagined Reconstruction of the the content of those letters by a Brit, Steven Benaquist, who embellishes them with light imitations of both men for almost 3/4 of an hour. I'm a Tony Danza fan, which drew me in, and to say I've never seen anything like it is putting it mildly! ... full review

I don't do impressions, but I thought Benaquist's Tony Danza impression was hilarious, and even funnier was his impression of Danza doing an impression of Tupac.... full review

A delightfully unique dual personality performance in this two character one man show. Steve brought both heart and humor to the stage through his talent and it was a highlight of the fest for me that left me with a smile on my face, marveling at how he presented both of theirs, along with their minds, bodies and spirits through his comic interpretation. ... full review

Now this… this I like. A fresh idea--on a bizarre reality, it turns out--acted/written/directed by comics with a sharp kindred sensibility (to my own, for sure, and that’s all I care about). Theater will never grow stale as long as shows like this appear on the scene once in a while. Kudos to the fringe for recognizing that. More of it, I say.... full review
