What I liked

I am so glad I saved the best for last. MBFBM is my favorite Fringe show. Theresa Stroll and Bobby McGlynn’s writing is hilarious and touching and the song lyrics are wonderful. (Seems everyone’s favorite song “Fuck It” will become an anthem for struggling dreamers everywhere!)

Though the writing is top notch, the star of the show is Theresa, Terri, a powerhouse of talent, charm, energy and pure charisma. An unbeatable combination!

Loved the comical use of projections. Added so much. I loved it so much and wished it could be longer. And I do think MNFBM could and should be a full production with additional characters, big production values, even more clever songs. I think this could be an Off-Broadway (even Broadway) HIT!

Brava Theresa! You are a star!

What I didn't like

Not one thing.

My overall impression

Beautifully-crafted and professional. Not a single misstep! It’s a lovely, extremely funny show about surviving in Hollywood as a “Plus Size” actress, but it never devolves into self-indulgence or “pity-me” mode. Theresa empowers with her amazing personality, talent and charm.

Theresa and Bobby McGlynn have written a very clever show that’s hilarious, moving and deep. They are very promising song lyricists too and I feel this show must go on to New York.

There’s never a dull moment. An hour of pure delight with the charismatic, energetic, supremely talented Terri Stroll. The audience leapt to its collective feet and applauded this formidable performance feat for a long time. Much deserved. Top of the Fringe.
