The show itself is lots of fun, even if some of the cast members were not the greatest singers or the greatest at keeping a consistent beat--it adds to the hilarity and zaniness of Nilbog! The show is great, and as long as you are prepared to be crammed into the venue like sardines and expect the show to last a bit longer than expected, you should have a pretty good time. It's a riot!...

Do you love cheesy b-movies as much as I do? Do you love movies that are so ridiculous that you laugh the entire time, even though you're not supposed to? If you do, this is something you need to see! This is the unauthorized musical of Troll 2, the best worst movie ever made! With that being said, I think you can tell how ridiculous this will be. I had SO MUCH FUN at this. It was so ridiculous but in the good way. There's audience participation (live tweeting, drinking games, and popcorn) and the actors play into the ridiculousness of it all and that makes it so much better. If you're looking to have a fun time with friends, definitely check this out!...

If you like midnight movies and audience participation, then this is the show for you. Equal parts witty and silly, Nilbog is not a show you want to miss. Bring friends and be ready to laugh. ...

Adapting the cult-classic film Troll 2 for the stage is not easy. The structure is a mess, the plot has major holes and non-sequators, the character goals and intentions make no sense and the film is just plain terrible. I mean, that's why it's considered the worst movie ever made, right? 2 Cents Theatre Company has mounted their own musical version of the b-movie, entitled Nilbog: The Unauthorized Musical Parody Of Troll 2, for the Hollywood Fringe Festival. And in case you missed it, that’s “Goblin” spelled backwards.
For the people who have seen the absurd source material, Nilbog is an absolute scream. It faithfully follows the movie, while taking some liberties to include references to other cult favorites like The Room and weirdly e...

Though it’s presented at the Fringe in an appropriately shoestring manner, I can easily see it being developed into a more substantially-staged piece that could play successfully on both coasts....
