What I liked

What stands out most is the way the piece connected to me. Right away there is a real human connection in both the writing and the performance…I swear my grandfather would tell me stories the same way…and it draws me in and doesn’t let go.

And the specificity of the performance, the nuanced behavior, the speech pattern…bravo!

The choice to use the box as his “prop bin/baseball storytime bin”…genius!

Even if you’re not a fan of America’s favorite pastime, you will be a fan of MUNGO!

An expertly crafted love story disguised as an autobiography of an infamous baseball player.

I felt as though VL himself was sharing his story with me. Powerful stuff.
