What I liked
I loved meeting Missy in person and even more when I saw her solo show. She is a funny, lovable, awesome woman who is so watchable. Missy totally commands the stage. Her story as a plus-sized woman, struggling with a problem with overeating, was very real and I related to her journey.. I loved her creation and impersonation of a dozen+ characters and was impressed with how she drew the audience in with humorous tales of her youth before bringing us to the crux of her dilemma—the struggle with her weight. It moved me to hear her discuss all her trials, but before too long, I was laughing again.

My overall impression
Missy Hairston is a beautiful, passionate, authentic performer who completely engaged me in her story from the get-go. A funny and heartfelt 60 minutes about a powerful, confident woman who knows who she….No, Missy is NOT “awkwardly fabulous”, she is just plain FABULOUS!
