An absolute MUST SEE this year at Fringe. In terms of writing quality, performance craft, and overall polish, I have no doubt "Thirteen's Spring" ranks at the top for this year's festival offerings. This story is artfully constructed and beautifully executed by four gorgeous MAC members. As an audience we felt it all: the clunky exuberance of youth, the elation of first love, and the heartbreak when it's suddenly, irrationally ripped away by a country turning against its own people. The audience was riveted from start to finish. Good solid performances that reflected the bittersweet episode right before Anne Frank goes into hiding. Knowing the backstory made the performances all the better as young hopes and dreams would not come to past. ... full review

Lovely and touching, Thirteen's Spring encapsulated the devastation of realizing that one cannot stay young and free forever, and in Anne Frank's case, give up her childhood. The acting by Nora King and Joseph Tanner Paul left me craving more of their warm partnership and impressed with their portraits of two young people discovering love and loss. The element of movement artistry was effective yet subtle, soft and at times erratic, representative of Anne's internal struggle as well as her feelings towards the world and Hello. Beautifully constructed and performed. ... full review
