I absolutely loved Stupid Songs. It has one of those simple high-concepts that makes you go, 'Why didn't I think of that?' Sketch comedy songs. The kind of original, twisted concepts you would expect to see at a great Groundlings show... But instead of the scenarios being played out in sketch, they're played out in song. Some of the songs consist of new lyrics written to existing songs - some familiar, some obscure. All hysterical. But most of the songs are completely original and hysterical. Most impressive is the cast. Each as funny a comedian as you'll see on any stage in LA. The show would be cringe-worthy if they couldn't also sing like champs. And act like pros. The show is performed with such comic assuredness, at its very bes... full review

Holy Crazy! Are you kidding me with this!? This show was so freakin' funny I wasn't able to stop crying. Literally. The true mastery of this troupe at singing songs about nothing is brilliant! Under the directing of Safran and the musical direction of Wessels, "Stupid Songs" does not let up and does not let you breathe. I could have sat through another hour of songs easily!! If you don't see this show, then I'll probably unfriend you. Trust me. More than worth the price of admission!!... full review

Truly had no idea what to expect from a show with the title, "Stupid Songs" other than just a load of stupid songs? But right from the get go, this show perks you right up with a hilarious opening number that turns into a massive-full-ensemble-harmony-filled gasm. And the show only gets better from here on out. Keri has pulled together one amazing cast with voices to sing from the heavens above and comedy from the depths below. I actually think that I ruined her video recording of this show because I was laughing so hard right next to the camera. Dan Wessels the music director has put together a variety of songs that hit every mood right in the kisser. A+ to this show, highly recommend if you are not stupid and love a damn good time.... full review

Living in LA, you see a lot of shows. You start to come to expect one or two things to be great and the rest to be "so - so" Ladies and Gents, let me tell you. I have not LAUGHED THIS HARD.. in a LONG .. LONG time. Every song was so flipping good!. Tear jerking funny some of them. I can NOT recommend this more. In fact, I'm going back to see it again. NOT .. TO.. BE.. MISSED. ... full review

Did I enjoy STUPID SONGS, you say? Did I! !!! Not all of them were Stupid, not all of them were Successful, not all of them Landed with a punch, but EVERYBODY was talented and personable and enough of the material landed with a punch to make for an utterly entertaining hour. Most Memorable, to me, were SARAH WOLTER and her country-western song (This dame is a Star already, just waiting for the right vehicle!) and BRANT COX (with his neurotic monologue song)and JASON CURRIE. The only thing missing was a CD for sale in the lobby! I would have been glad to buy one afterward! ... full review
