PLEASE do not miss this wonderful production! Every level of creativity is complete and fulfilling-making each moment that you are sitting there filled with wonderful exhaustion. It would not be difficult for me to see the play several more times. You will never have misgivings about going to see Annabella.

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Annabella feels almost more like an opera than a musical. Wonderful story, rich characters and a songbook that will give you absolute chills. The performers themselves are wonderful, especially Tony who brings an astronomical amount of passion to this work. heads up Broadway, he'll be working there soon. GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!...

Even knowing the creator and having high expectations, Annabella is a fantastic show that really blew me away. The passion, intensity and talent was undeniable. Rich with deep, developed characters, this story is unique yet familiar, taking a "fairy tale-like" world and giving it depth beyond anything I've seen before. The haunting music pulls you in, entertains and transports. Like most of the audience I was brought to the verge of tears for the characters but also made to laugh and didn't want it to end. Every performer was outstanding (rare to see such consistent talent) with strong, beautiful voices really connecting with beautiful material. A Must-See I hope goes further....

Even with bare-bones staging and a bit of costuming and paint for the marionettes, this piece had the potential to be something really interesting, but the lack of incident and a ponderous, repetitive score quickly become tiring....

AMAZING performers and incredible music in a space that is actually PERFECT for it! A creepy and heartfelt homage to the classic fairy tales and fairy tales archetypes, ANNABELLA shines with it's lush music and across-the-board fantastic cast. The tight bare-brick space evokes a very Rapunzel-trapped-in-tower claustrophobic vibe and the voices of the cast work perfectly. Have I mentioned the cast yet? Because: the cast. See it!...

"Annabella" creates a burgundy world in the sparse, comfortable and efficient Lounge Theatre space; it's a seductive world, and what begins as a seemingly lyrical Italian fairy tale quickly becomes deceptively dark and bleak by the show's end. A wayward puppeteer encounters, and falls in love with, a young healing witch in the woods. He also meets the wicked-stepmother-esque woman who keeps the girl Annabella and love, lies and memory loss follow in a tragic story that deals in issues of fidelity, obsession, madness and death.
I fear this won't be everyone's cup of tea--there are no cheap laughs or knowing winks and nudges to the audience (in fact there is an almost complete absence of mirth); one unfavorable review implied the music is b...
