Heather, you're a genius. Knowing you personally before you took on acting as a profession and seeing you in your first performance in a solo show, has re-inspired me about what's possible when you are passionate and dedicated. I did not expect to laugh so much, be so touched by the intimate stories of your life, and truly believe each of the characters you portrayed, giving color to the show that took us through the stories of a girl seeking the right "job" in life. Well, you've found it...ACTRESS. And yes, you'll be unemployed a lot, but my estimation is, very soon, you'll be in demand and waiting to be Unemployed Finally again! Two thumbs up!... full review

Excellent performance by the lovely Heather Dowling. Clean, clear, and so full of life. I was entertained and captivated the entire time and such a wonderful array of characters. They all came across as separate entities and with clear points of view/voice. Very well done!... full review

This show is just so full of heart. Heather does a beautiful job of telling her story, and she is so charming and impressive along the way. Engaging characters, some HILARIOUS moments, and a message that we can all ultimately relate to: we all have a TON of time to do the things we want. ... full review

Heather Dowling is brilliant and engaging as she takes us through her expertly crafted, heart-wrenching journey from age 14 to being “Unemployed, Finally”. Living through and counting every job with her, I traveled back and forth between hilarity and pathos . Amazing how Heather can transform her beautiful face into the very diverse medley of characters she so effectively introduces us to along the way. Especially engaging and amusing are her two competing inner voices, Winnie and Karen, who kept popping up to give her their opposing versions of guiding wisdom. Such an deeply heartfelt emotional ride - I felt so much for her and left with a feeling of inspiration. I highly recommend seeing her show... full review

Hilarious show that everyone can relate to: the journey of finding oneself and one's purpose. Heather is a masterful storyteller, and does an excellent job of keeping you engaged through her myriad of characters, each of which she transforms into seamlessly. The emotional message of the show kinda sneaks up on you. The astute direction by Jessica Johnson keeps things very lively and active on the stage the entire time.... full review

Heather Dowling's one woman show deservedly received an Encore Award for this Tour de Force of her employment auto-biography in 60 minutes complete with many characters from her life unmercifully personified, dark corners exposed and a lot of laughs. Heather is totally engaging without dropping the ball for a second and yes she really does manage to walk you through 30 jobs in 30 years. Well done Hurricane Heather!... full review

THEATRE REVIEW #291 – “”Unemployed. Finally!” A Comedy Whirlwind Of Hysterical Witticisms From Heathers R. Dowling!” Written By Lorenzo Marchessi One of the most exciting things about the Hollywood Fringe Festival is the chance to see new and fresh talent, plays, playwrights, ensemble groups, performers, acts, music, dance and so much more. It’s also very exciting when a comedian like Heather R. Dowling takes the stage and explains it raw – explains it true – and explains ‘slices of life’ with such ironic accuracy – that it makes you laugh out loud - mainly because her stories might hit you a little close to home. She bills her one-woman show as “….it took 30 jobs in 30 years, but she’s finally doing what she wants…” – and believe m... full review
