My overall impression
Timeheart is the opposite of terrible. It’s stand on your chair to give the highest ovation. It’s EVERYTHING, so put your hands on your hips and get ready to do the Timewarp with Barbarella. This show is brilliant in it’s design because it was discovered through Robot Teammate improvisations. They created their own characters and every one is a stand-out! The music’s a joy-grin and delivered diversely in the strengths of each performer. Kat, who takes us on this sci-fi journey, is a songstress that is just gonna melt your heart right through to another dimension. This clever, sexy, high octane, fun-speed ahead musical also knows how to tug on your heartstrings and there are these remarkable indulgences when their improv roots creep out with in-the-moment responsive interaction to audience, costume, or prop. Even in Robot’s first rehearsed show, there is still such a connection that I envy between the actors and the band. It’s really the neatest thing to witness (on occasion, sneak a peak at Sam Johnides and you’ll see what I mean). What a blast, you cosmic genius’!!
