Sex, Lies and the KKK

Abie Bowman is a very intelligent comedian who enjoys tapping into the deep psyche of man to see what's funny. In Sex Lies and the KKK, there's a lot. His starting point was to interview members of the KKK as they reacted to the election of Barack Obama, which in itself gives you an idea of the boldness and determined curiosity of Abie Bowman. The result is a collection of questions and conclusions that stimulate the audience's own thinking, in between the outbursts of laughter. His rapid-fire delivery and charming Irish accent are a plus. I love political theatre and this guy is just brilliant. I saw him for 15 minutes at the late night reviews. It starts with his title and subject matter. Jesus in Guantanamo, Eco-friendly Jihad. What great material. Jesus would not have made it through immigartion... We fly our bombers 1/2 way around the world, they source locally, walk their bombs to the target, and are much more biodegradable. I am not as enthusiastic about Obama and the KKK, but it really strikes a chord among the black community. And he does hit so close to home, I am reluctant to repeat what he said for fear of the FBI knocking on my door. I think this guy is great, go and see him.... full review
