I am always unsure what to expect of one man shows, this one was one of the great ones! I loved the roller-coaster of a story, and David's genuine heart letting us in on an intimate relationship. The direction and lighting was fantastic bringing us into the story with a minimal set, and again, David's attention to detail during the story was spot on. Loved it!... full review

An incredible story told beautifully and without artifice. David took us on a journey through sex, drugs and Hollywood dreams that was worthy of Hemingway with the skill of Spalding Gray. Using only a few props to set the scene, the monolog conjured images of multiple characters and locations so clearly in my mind that I was transported, invested and moved. That it was all based on (his own) true story made it all the more remarkable. Kudos and thank you!... full review

It's easy to see why David Rodwin has won competitions. Clearly an experienced storyteller, he shares his brush with a porn "star" unscripted, but practiced, with enough daring to feel risky and enough skill to remain on target. Combine titillating material with that kind of talent, and the result is exactly the experience I want in a Fringe show.... full review

I've heard the story directly from David, somewhat edited in the past. But to see him perform it live on stage, with all of the little, atmospheric details fully fleshed out, was a different experience altogether. David's chops as a performer are quite compelling as well. Definitely go see this if you have the opportunity. ... full review

Truly a satisfying experience. Rodwin spins a continually engaging tale that is equal parts funny, sad, erotic and chilling, and even manages to throw in a beautifully executed rendition of "Pennies from Heaven".
