I liked the journey that this show took me on, especially with the intrusive neighbor character, who started out as macho tool and ended in as vulnerable a place as his counterpart. Both actors were excellent at getting across each character's vulnerabilities and the masks they donned to tried to hide them.... full review

Things Being What They Are is an interesting look at the dynamics of modern relationships. While many stories about love and romantic relationships are told from a woman's point of view, it's refreshing to see a man's perspective on infidelity, love and marriage. The acting and writing is superb, full of twists and turns. The story is simultaneously funny and heartbreaking. ... full review

Great show! A well written play that tells the story of 2 guys who at first seem to have nothing in common and later discover how much their buried emotions are alike. The dialogue brings a very interesting dimension to the characters of Jack (Chet Grissom) and Bill (Cameron Jappe) and plenty of funny moments! Jappe plays a character that the audience wants to sympathize with: a sweet man who loves his wife and only did what he truly thought was best. Grissom gives a stunning performance as the next door neighbor who is "crazy" and lives on the margins of life. Absolutely recommend everyone to see this!... full review
