Once again Thursty and the gang pull off the incredible feat of translating a terrible script into a hilarious night of theater. This is the third show I've seen from them and they never stop being creative and clever. Wanna laugh? Skip The Groudlings or the comedy clubs and go see Magnus Opus Players. And tell Thursty I sad hello....

I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard at the theatre. The idea behind the show is so clever and it is so exceptionally performed and executed. The comedic abilities of the actors are unsurpassed. I cannot wait to see their next production. ...

Oh Magnum Opus Players, how you astound. I think perhaps your mission statement is askew, of though you purport to re-enact the least desired screenplays in history, this performance of Star Crossed Lovers must surely represent a hidden gem of the lost classics of Hollywood. The cast was riveting in each and every case and but especially the you ingenue Amber, portrayed by the ever amusing Heather Schmidt. But LO, stealing each scene she graced was the venerable C.J. Merriman, not even the thick prosthetics and can upon can of Aquanetâ„¢ could hide her beauty. I do not wish to spoil any details of the intricate, twisting plot (like a windsock at the airport) but sufficed to say it's a real nail biter! Will she? Did she? Can she? Has she? The f...

This is my favorite of the entire season. I have not laughed this hard in a very, very long time. I was apprehensive at first. If the script is so bad, why do it? But the Opus players put on the magic. For example, every time the writer uses the word "there" while intending to write "their", the actor says the line and points to "there". The Opus players take their funny very seriously and perform the script quite literally. No, the script makes no sense. But oh my God it's hilarious! ...

I saw 'The Yearbook' on its final performance night. It was a sold out crowd that seemed to enjoy the play as much as I did. It was truly laugh out loud funny! The performances were all amazing, but I really enjoyed Brandon Clark in his role as 'Thurston Eberhard Hillsboro-Smythe' and Erica Ball as 'Mrs. Millian'. They both seemed to totally capture the essence of the character's they were playing.
The play only lasted an hour, but I honestly wish it had been longer. It was fun to try to catch the punctuation mistakes & grammar mistakes the actors were trying to get across ("their"/"there", hysterical! And the run-on sentences, classic!).
I would tell anyone that missed this performance to see it the next time it comes to the theatre...
