My overall impression
City Lights:
The combination of poetic words, staggeringly emotional performances, and hypnotic music created a jolt to my heart.
Quite astonishing that in such a short amount of time I was taken on such a roller coaster of a journey and that
I felt deeply for each of the four characters in one way or another.
Congratulations to Cassandra Shea for writing something I want much more of. She is certainly one to watch.
Congrats to the brilliant cast Kimberly Alu (raw and edgy), Cassandra Shea (wickedly funny), Kimberly Source (heartbreaking), Tessa Lopez-Scott (sweetly touching) for fully embodying these young women who all started one way and ended up radically different.
And Congrats to the directors and tech crew who made it all seem effortless.
I recommend seeing this play if you enjoy being transported deeply into the lives of others remarkably in under an hour.
