My overall impression

I love rock musicals, and this one did not disappoint with its entertainment- beyond a couple sound issues that could benefit from a longer set-up time, but that’s easily forgiven on the whole. Orgasmico always does a good job.

Werewolves aren’t usually my thing, but the paranormal is, and some vampires even made an appearance in a great song with great metaphor. Of course, this entire show was an exploration of the metaphors and such that create these paranormal persons. I hadn’t read the reviews or even read the description of the show thoroughly, so I didn’t realize until afterward that it draws upon actual werewolves from history. That makes the points of the show more pertinent, applicable. And there was good originality here, not just with the overall show, but in covering old themes in new ways.

Some of the finer points were lost for me, but, would be picked up upon subsequent viewing, if I hadn’t asked the actors. And really, music always needs multiple experiences to get the utmost enjoyment out of it- and much of it was already very enjoyable in the first place! There are some great actors and singers in this company. Fantastic character work here, each given their time to unfold.
