As a first time fringe participant I didn’t know what to expect. What I do know is that after we pay for the registration, an ad, our space,etc. etc.!! I really don’t understand why we have to BUY a T-SHIRT!!! For $15?? Really???
And why was OUR after party so crowded and hot without any air circulation?? You mean to tell me you couldn’t afford to rope off a block where all the theaters were on Lillian and have an outdoor party where people would be COMFORTABLE??!!
So we go outside to breath and there are NO CHAIRS!!! You mean with all the money we paid out, you couldn’t rent extra chairs for people to sit in???
FRINGE CENTRAL was a BAD place to have the closing party. There was not enough room to accommodate everyone and no one seemed to care. They got our money and that seems to be what they cared about. I’d love to know where all that money went!!
I had a great experience at my venue, and even had audience come out so it was not all a bad experience for me by any means. I do know I won’t buy an ad next year especially when I RARELY saw anyone even reading a fringe guide!!
Extremely disappointed by the final event. You all should be too. Will have to really think long and hard if I’m going to participate last year. We invested our money in our passion and our art, we should have been treated with greater respect and dignity. Your closing party didn’t give us that AT ALL.
SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!
