I was drawn in by "Fathers at a Game." The two main actors played contrasting personalities with conviction. The play was directed boldly and had an impressive visual style. This play succeeded in working on multiply levels. I strongly recommend going! ... full review

I didn't know what to expect when I walked into "Fathers". After 10 minutes I still wasn't sure what I had gotten into. But then there came a turn. Something that suddenly and wonderfully turned the table. I don't want to say too much and spoil it, but please go see this show. You won't regret it.... full review

This was definitely one the best written plays I've seen so far at the festival. In forty minutes, we are taken through an exciting and surprising journey watching 2 vets existing in a world that becomes rather surreal. Definitely recommended!... full review

A compelling, timely piece that was well-written, well-produced, well-directed and tremendously acted. I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire time, and was completely enmeshed in the world that was created with only a bench and two pieces of fabric (and some excellent light/sound cues and did I mention the tremendous acting?). Go see this. It affected me more in 45 minutes than many plays do in two hours. ... full review

Visceral, sad, and violent, it looks like our generation is crafting war stories that will be as timeless as Deer Hunter.... full review

I read the writer's input on the script in the program. It said he wasn't a football fan...so why right about football? It was painfully obvious that he didn't know about the game or the culture and it was just a vehicle to "surprise" us with the true message of the play. The only reason I liked it is because the actors did incredible things with what they had to work with. The set was imaginative and simplistically outstanding. Wendy Elizabeth Abraham only had a moment but nailed it. I wish she had more. ... full review

This is a stunning and original work. An exceptional intelligent writer who is not afraid to stay ahead of the audience and lead us through an adventure revealing only what we need to know to stay tuned in, engaged and emotional connected. A creative, original director employing multi-media to only enhance and illuminate the play; and bringing out in her actors human, honest, funny and emotionally powerful relationships and performances. This is a highlight for LA theater.... full review
