If laughter is the best medicine, King Phycus is like penicillin. Solid ensemble work, with standout character performances by each member. Would watch again and again, as I was too busy laughing and I'm sure I missed some jokes. A lot of inside laughs for Shakespeare (and all theater) buffs, but easily accessible for any audience member. Definitely a must see. ... full review

Simply delightful! The show was filled with such silliness that you will leave the show with an equally as silly grin on your face! The show was a perfect way to end a long stressful weekend. Don't walk, but run to see this show! You'll not regret it! :) ... full review

I had the pleasure of seeing Shakespeare's " King Phycus opening day. Which was a nice treat to get a wonderful sunny Saturday started in L.A. Each actor does a fantactic job. The ability to juggle with so many different story lines and characters was amazing. The comedic timing of each actor is impeccable, and their acting chops are on point. The whole play is full of love, betrayal and humor all balled in one. It's a good play. That will have you laughing the whole time. You wont regret it. ... full review

A delightful festival of the absurd! Cleanse your Fringe pallet with this healthy dose of silly fun, executed with expert precision by a group of talented performers. This show to me is the perfect example of one of the universal theatre truths: when the actors are having fun, so is the audience. Thank you for a fun night “King Phycus”!... full review

A great show. I laughed my buns off(and I mean earnestly laughed, not the fake laugh you do when something mildly amusing happens in real Shakespeare plays. You know the laugh you do so all the pompous jerks in audience don't think you're a hayseed). Anyhoo, check this play out its a great time.... full review

"King Phycus" was vibrant, polished, and laugh-out-loud funny. The troop (do we still call them troops? troupes?) ...of actors were relentlessly good: subtle nuances, big death-scenes, hopping in unison while spouting verse, costume changes, accent changes, fight choreography, victorian conflicts, love, death, betrayal, ghosts, that nurse costume(!)... This show was a spectacle; expertly crafted and easily enjoyed. ... full review

This is a hilarious little show! I thought the comedic timing was perfect and especially loved the fact that all the actors played numerous characters which they pulled off with ease and speed. Highly recommended if you love Shakespeare and like poking fun at him!... full review

When the curtain call came and I caught my breath, I thought "where are all the other actors?". This troupe is gifted. They each create many different and very funny characters. They handle the language with aplomb. It was hysterically funny and wonderfully directed. Thank you to everyone involved for an amazing theatrical experience. Don't miss it.... full review

A wonderfully engaging mash-up of Shakespeare characters by an accomplished and entertaining ensemble of performers. It had a definite ensemble feel to the evening - continuity of style and intent on telling the story first and foremost. Kudos to the cast and the production staff/director. This was the highlight for me of the Fringe, at least so far!... full review
