I was so embarrassed for everyone on that stage. The script was one of the most poorly written things I've ever seen. It was meant to be fluffy and fun, and it was neither. At least fluff would have some wit and thought behind it. I did not laugh or even crack a smile once - I was too busy cringing at every element of this show. The ridiculous sight gags (people falling over an inflatable couch multiple times is not funny to anyone over the age of 5), the racist or fat jokes, and the actors being portrayed an uneducated fools was simply grating and insulting. What made everything worse was the $10 price tag on this 40 minute show. The director says "no refunds" in his bio - clearly there's a reason for that statement. It was a fun premise, but it got a bit lost in its own silliness. The actors (a talented ensemble) were game for whatever the script threw at them and their energy helped carry the show. A reoccurring bit with the inflatable couch was laid on too thick, and the humor was sophomoric. The marketing and the trailer are both very clever and hint at the talent and potential the piece (and the creators) have. Would like to see what they could do given a bit more time.... full review
