Lisa is compelling, hysterical and heartbreaking in IYWTID. Taking a frank look at some awful youthful experiences and then flipping them on their head, she makes us respect the strong woman she has become and the healing power of laughter. It is a perfect format for the Fringe Festival in its presentation and production. But even with more time and money, it would be Lisa Cole that shines.... full review

I expected to have fun, but was blown away by waves of emotion. I found myself on a roller coaster of feelings that made me look deep inside myself. I laughed out loud throughout and then sank back down into familiar feelings of pain. Just as I sank she lifted me back up again. She will make you relate to her creation. The delivery was poetic and an unorthodox rhythm of story. Simply put, she will make you feel, laugh, hurt, and smile.... full review

I loved this performance. I laughed & cried throughout the entire show. Lisa Cole exposed her soul for anyone to see, & it was riveting, powerful, & relatable. Did I mention she's really funny? I have one major criticism, the show was too short! I want more! Keep writing & performing, Ms. Cole. Excellent direction & production as well.... full review

Lisa Cole has done what every person should do, though few of us have the courage or skill to do publicly. Miss Cole takes us on a jaw-dropping journey of true stories that have shaped the person she is today. She has chosen to tell her story in the vehicle of leaving a post-death video for her family and friends (hence the title), and this works well, but the substance comes from the baring of the soul in telling the stories between "video takes". Miss Cole's experiences appear to have shaped her much differently than they would many others. In a brief interview after the show, she explained that the story she wrote, or more accurately the presentation of the story she wrote, was a comedy. This shocked me as much as the life-experienc... full review

Lisa never fails to not only entertain, but connect with the audience with a warm human quality which is so engaging! Hearing her stories makes you laugh and sometimes gasp and also just remind you that we all come from such a combination of crazy, scary, funny and loving beginnings which we can all relate too! I highly recommend seeing her play before it's gone!!... full review

I've seen my share of plays and shows in this town and I usually can't wait for them to end. But in this case, it was great to see Lisa put herself out there in such way that kept me laughing, intrigued, and entertained the entire time. Her fun personality crosses right over into her characters and makes one wonder why she isn't working more in this industry. A pure gem. A read one review that whined about certain things in the story line that just wasn't for him. That's fine and dandy - we're all different and have different tastes. But if something is delivered in an entertaining and clever way, no matter how eclectic it may be, I chalk that up for talent and good writing. ... full review

Lisa Cole is an engaging writer/actress. Her stories were relatable, especially in considering my creative Los Angeles friends. She showed a lot of range and the 45-minute solo performance was impressive. Thanks for a good time... full review

Thankyou Lisa for relating to ME. I could easily identify with you; even though I have no shared experiences of place and time. It was comfortable and enjoyable; you didn't try to impress me with your achievements, nor niggle at me trying to get me to emote (as others tried). You shared your stories and yourself. There was so much variety in delivery and it was well-staged with the A/V equipment put to minimal but purposeful use. I'd have liked more of the projected photos. Generously-paced, and naturally voiced with considered but smooth movements. (Thankfully, no obviously scripted gestures and fake voices.) Your characters were distinctively yet realistically given their own voices. The truth is irrelevant; it felt honest. Please keep liv... full review

Lisa Cole was amazing. She pulled from deep within to perform this heart warming, yet dark one woman play. If you haven't seen it go!!!... full review
